The Old Harrovian Lodge was founded in 1924 as a Lodge of Freemasons especially for Old Harrovians, Governors and Masters of the School. We meet three times a year, once at the School in June and twice at the Worshipful Company of Wax Chandlers, dining afterwards and ending with a session of Songs.

For those unfamiliar with Freemasonry, it is a society of like-minded men of any race, religion or political belief who are over the age of 18 years and believe in a higher being; irrespective of the denomination that takes. Charity is a fundamental aim in Freemasonry, and the Old Harrovian Lodge has donated thousands of pounds to several organisations in recent years.

There are over six million Freemasons across the four corners of the globe; this includes 250,000 Freemasons across over 8,000 Lodges throughout England and Wales, and districts overseas; 40,000 of these members in London alone. The Old Harrovian Lodge has a membership of around 40 individuals across a well-balanced mix of ages and from all walks of life.

We are a member of the Public School Lodges Council, an active body uniting socially with the other public schools which culminates in an annual festival in the summer. We operate under the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Grand Lodge of London.

We welcome enquiries from anyone with an interest in what we do. Please do also get in touch if you are interested in joining Freemasonry, or if you are already a Freemason looking to visit our Lodge or even thinking about becoming a joining member.
